WILD DEER DREAMING 

overview

We live in a time of rapidly expanding awareness. We are right to be concerned for ourselves and the environment, after all we are a part of this land and not separate from it.  Many of us long for a deeper connection to our food and how it is produced.

Join me to explore this material through my own relationship with the deer of the Sussex Weald.

On a practical level we will lean into many of the skills necessary to skin, butcher and cook local wild venison. We will also take time to develop a sustainable approach to foraging wild plants, stepping into the role of guardian and caretaking as we gather. I believe a personal practice of gratitude and reciprocity is essential to mantaining a healthy balanced approach and we will also explore this important element.

The day will run from 0900 to 1700 to give us plenty of time. The group will be no more than 10 to ensure you have my full attention. 

Suitable for adults and accompanied 16/17 year old teens.

We will be in the woods all day and can handle all but the most extreme weather so dress for the great outdoors!

We welcome all dietary persuasions and choices, if you have a need to bring your own dish to share please do.

We  provide Vegan side dishes along with plenty of venison (if there is any left you can take some home if you wish).

Cost is £100 per person ( 16+ teens must be accompanied by a paying adult)
